1974 Civil Engineering Graduate @ Manchester University
Third year thesis on performance of super computers
1975 Developed computer graphics programs for Computer Aided Design Centre, Cambridge
Most computer users still struggling with 80-column punched cards
1977 Networking the UK’s fastest computer -  USA’s fastest computer @ Manchester University
Most powerful civilian computer installation in UK
1978 Implemented "Experimental Packet Switching Service" to 44 UK Universities
Technology became the basis of the Internet (TCP/IP)
1979 Developed on-line traffic control system for motorway between Rotterdam - The Hague
Similar system installed on M25 near Heathrow Airport 20 years later.
1980 Developed email office systems using first-generation Intel micro-processors.
In Paris, at launch of French Minitel system and Europe's first laser printer from IBM.
Internet email systems arrive 10 years later!
1981 Developed automated real-time systems for high volume factory production in Germany

1993 Managed £30m IT project portfolio for Product Marketing

1996 Coordinated major move & upgrade of multiple dealing room systems.
